“These past few months have been astonishing, heart breaking and have seriously affected my faith in humanity. However the response to the recent events have been uplifting and have given me hope. Never in my lifetime have I seen strong action taken against these (the removal of statues, the amount of peaceful protests undergone during covid), all taking place as a result of communities. I am starting to see daily, conversations being had, individuals being called out, questions being asked. We still have such a long way to go for justice and equality but I believe we are finally beginning that journey.”
